Debra Antanavica
Deb grew up in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester and married Rick Antanavica (former EMT, Police Officer, Firefighter and District Chief of Station 1, and Selectman). They raised two sons and a step-daughter here in town. Deb is known by many in town as “the Shack Lady” for Leicester Little League. She ran the “shack” for many years. She also held the office of Vice President and Player Agent for Leicester Little League. She coached Peewee Soccer for several years.
Deb now works for Boston Children’s Hospital as a Compliance Auditor and holds several coding credentials; CPC, CEMC, CGIC, & CRC. She is also the president of the Leicester Chapter of Hearts for Heat (they help people in town with their winter heating needs). She is a huge Disney fan and also a fan of the Boston Sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.
When asked why she co-formed Deja New, the answer was -because it needs to be done. She believes that we need to do what we can to help the people in our community and not wait and hope that someone else will do it.
