Become a Volunteer
If you want to help the community of Leicester, Deja New is a great place to volunteer. You can work in the shop two or three shifts per month or volunteer for special fundraisers.
One of our volunteers, Tammy, had this to say, “Volunteering at Deja New is rewarding for me because we get to see the fruits of our labor in the smiles and heartfelt thanks from Leicester residents who benefit from our efforts. Not only that, but I feel we’re the “Cheers” of Leicester in that a customer is only a stranger once, and then ‘everybody knows your name.’ We have folks who come in to shop and then may stay a half-hour just chatting with the volunteers or people they meet there. Compassion, outreach, and joy fill the air. What more could a volunteer want.?”

Become an Intern
If you are a high school student at any school in the area and you are a resident of Leicester, you may apply to become a Deja New intern. The goals of the internship are to learn about nonprofits and why people choose to participate in them, build vocational skills, and develop hearts for service. Deja New works with your school or program to initiate the internship and design a schedule that works for you and Deja New.
